Mohawk specially formulated this product to work with furniture coatings that have a Lacquer base. Using this product with other Coating types would require self conducted testing for compatibility and desired outcome. Please keep in mind adverse reactions caused by using a product outside the intended uses are not covered under any warranty.
That said, Crackle lacquer effects are a very specific effect, and I recommend looking at that effect first before even testing. I will provide a link to such examples: https://www.google.com/search?q=mohawk+crackle+lacquer&sca_esv=a03d90e6355d
